Leeds LGBT+ Book Club

Welcome to Leeds LGBT+ Book Club

Leeds LGBT+ Book Club has been running since May 2017. Our group meets once a month in the Portal Room on the second floor of Leeds Central Library, 6-6.45pm on the first Wednesday of the month.

We read and discuss a range of books with an LGBT+ theme, both fiction and non-fiction. The books will be chosen by the organisers and members of the book club.

Is Leeds LGBT+ Book Club for you?

Leeds LGBT+ Book Club is for anyone who identifies as LGBT+ and allies, aged 18 years and over, who have an interest in LGBT+ themed books. You can come to as many, or as few, meetings as you like. If one particular book catches your eye you are welcome to just come to that session, or you can come to all our meetings and discover a wide range of books. We are also open to suggestions for future reads.

If you haven't finished (or even started!) the current book, you're still welcome to come along.

Books we are reading in 2019:

Books we've read

Ice Massacre
The Danish Girl
The Color Purple
This Savage Song
Fathomless Riches: Or How I Went From Pop to Pulpit
The Gender Games: The Problem with Men and Women, from Someone Who Has Been Both
Tales of the City
The Paying Guests
